IMG_0329Boyd and I are high school sweethearts who met in our church youth group.  We started dating in 1991 and got married in 1994 at the young age of 18 and 19.  We went to college, and once Boyd finished law school we decided to start a family.  At the time we thought 2 or maybe 3 children would complete our family.  Boy, were we wrong!  God changed our hearts on how we viewed children.  We no longer looked at them as a burden, or something that held us back from pursuing things we wanted to do.

Instead we embraced what we felt God was telling us to do, view them as a blessing.  Include them in our life adventures.  Raise them to love God and serve Him to the fullest.  Sooo, at 21 years of marriage God has blessed us with our 8th child, baby Silas. That makes 4 boys and 4 girls; Christian 15, Cooper 13, Cayman 9, Noah 6, Eve 5, Genesis 2, Olive 15 months, and our baby Silas.   Now, don’t get me wrong.  We have many days of the same feelings every parent does; frustration, complete exhaustion, and feeling like we failed.  Life has had it’s bumps in the road, but overall He has blessed us in so many ways.  He has given us a strong marriage where we are still madly in love.  Always providing shelter and  food.   He has allowed my husband to own his own practice and work from home to help raise and homeschool our crew.  Seven healthy children who are loving life.  God has now placed before us a journey that we never imagined traveling, but we know without a doubt that He is directing every step of this adventure.
